Airport layout and procedure Airport is divided into 2 sides - landside and airside. When you depart, you go through check in, security, immigration and departure lounge.
At check in your ticket will be checked and you’ll be given a boarding card. Your luggage will be weighed and put on a conveyor belt which takes it to the plane. Security - check to make sure you’re not carrying and dangerous or illegal items Immigration - you should then go through passport control Then you’ll go to the departure lounge and you’ll wait for the flight.
And when you arrive, you go through immigration, baggage reclaim, customs and arrivals concourse.
You go through immigration control and you reclaim your baggage from conveyor belt. Then you pass through customs - you should take green channel, if you have nothing to declare or the red channel if you have to pay import duty. And the arrivals concourse will take you to call transport services.
