Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, known also as Mahatma Gandhi, was an Indian politican and a founder of Indian independence. Born into India colonized by Britian, he understood from the very beginning what catastrophe Britain ment for his country. His reformatory mind probably originated at this time. His goal was to be strong and rise up against colonizers.
He studied in Britain and later on worked in Africa, where he realized he turned up to be under racial discrimination. After his return to India, he published many articles pointing to this matter.
He was fighting on the same side with Britain several times (Britian never appreciated it), he was fighting against plague, he was fighting against his wife s illness as well as illness of his own. He was very strict to her and himself as he was following his principles. He felt miserable when he failed to follow them all. This happened during his illness when Gandhi started eating meat in order to survive, despite the fact that he fobade his wife, who almost died, to do so.
