Autor sa v článku zaoberá otázkou prečo jednotlivé teórie nedokázal predvídať tak zásadnú udalosť, akou koniec studenej vojny a následný rozpad ZSSR bol. Hľadá dôvody tohto zlyhania a navrhuje niekoľko myšlienok ako zlepšiť predvídaciu presnosť.
