DRUG LEAFLET
Pharmacology is a field common to doctors and pharmacists. It deals with pharmaceuticals or drugs. It studies the pharmaceuticals from the moment they are administered to the patient, until they are secreted completely.
A medicine or drug is any substance or combination of substances administered to human beings or animals to treat or prevent disease.
Medication can be usually classified in various ways
The types of medicines:
1)Antipyretics : Reducing fever.
2)Analgesics : Painkillers.
3)Anti-malarial drugs : Treating malaria.
4)Antibiotics : Inhibiting germ growth.
5)Antiseptics : Prevention of germ growth near burns,cuts and wounds.
In specialized materials concerning particular medicaments, substances and preparations, we can often find specific terms describing the medicament. Ordinary people usually find these in drug leaflets . And the leaflet contains :
The term of medicine,manufacture, Registration decision holder,
Composition includes all substances,which contains the medicine.
Characteristic is the fact describing effects of medicine e.g Stoptussin is the preparation,which damps a cough and relieves expectorians.
